To remove a doorbell from your private home, you might want to remove two components: the bell and the button on the outside front door frame. The wires will remain in the wall and door frame after you’ve removed both components. Also, there might be holes within the wall and door frame after you’ve gotten removed the button and the bell, which it’s best to repair. Almost anyone can complete this job without prior experience and with no major tools.
Turn the electrical breaker off that’s wired to the doorbell to disconnect the electric current. Locate the doorbell and the doorbell button.
Remove the cover panel from the bell by pulling it off of the bell’s frame. Remove the screws which are securing the frame to the wall using the screwdriver. Loosen the wire connections using the screwdriver and pull the wires from the connectors.
Separate the bottom, positive and negative wires from one another. Place electric tape across the exposed wires and push the wires back into the wall. Be sure that the wires are completely covered to stop a fire.
Remove the screws which are securing the doorbell button to the outside door frame using the screwdriver. Loosen the wire connections with the screwdriver and pull the wires from the button. Place electric tape around the information of each wire as you probably did for the bell wires, and push them back into the wall.

Not properly concealing the exposed wires with electric tape will lead to a fire once the electricity is turned back on if the wires touch each other.
